Canyon Spectral Mountain Bike Review 2018

Canyon Spectral Mountain Bike Review

The bike was developed by the Dudes of Hazzard and John Barnes in order to bring the exact mixture of control, traction, playfulness, and handling to form a simple yet robust trail taming tool.

There come in three different frames and they are the aluminum frame, aluminum swingarm, and the carbon frame, these frames can handle aggressive driving and they are a full suspension that was designed to help the cyclist through rough and unpaved terrains.

The bearings of the bike have been sealed from the outside in order to increase the service life and the wide clamping system is very gentle to the seat post. The fork on this bike is very responsive and it offers a great damping and the cyclists can tune it according to their individual needs and wants.

The top tube of the bike is protected from the shifter by an impact protection unit and the cables have been routed with an external cover that helps in cleaning up the frame by ensuring that the cables are well hidden and can be serviced easily.

The shock position on this bike runs directly from the seat stays to the downtube and it helps to improve the feel of the suspension at the beginning of each stroke while still maintaining the ideal level of anti-squat to establish an efficient pedaling bike.

The suspension curve has been designed in such a way that it works well with the air shocks and it allows riders to add or subtract volume spacers as needed. In order to prevent moisture from getting into the frame bearings, the bike comes with a cover to help to keep the moisture out.

To add more frame protection the semi-internal cable routing is found inside the frame and it is sandwiched between the downtube and plastic cable channel.  The spectral bike has an integrated clamp that uses a plastic sleeve that has been designed to help to spread out the force and this helps in affecting the performance of the dropper post.

The thru axle on the bike is tucked out of the way in order to prevent it from hanging up on the rocks and prevent it from grabbing obstacles. The custom headset spacer helps to keep the brake levers from smashing in the top tube. The custom headset is attached to the top tube and the bump stop is attached to the hollow screws that are designed to break away in case there is an accident in order to save the top tube.

It has a frame case that can be attached on the inside of the front triangle and it has enough room for tools and snacks. It has an eject system that can hold two 400 ml bottles side by side and this can be a plus especially when you need to hydrate and you are not near any stores.
